Yemaya Restorative Health
Evidence-Based Mental Health Solutions and Education
Vision
Named in honor of Yemaya, the great mother archetype, protector of the oceans, and facilitator of emotional healing we built our practice to be a refuge. In West African traditions, Yemaya represents the deep, soothing waters that cleanse, nurture, and restore. We believe that healing isn't about "fixing" what is broken within you; it’s about returning to your natural state of wholeness. Just as the ocean moves in cycles, life brings waves of deep transition—pregnancy, postpartum, relational shifts, and emotional overload. Yemaya Restorative Health exists to provide a grounded, serene space where you can catch your breath, regulate your nervous system, and reclaim your peace..

* Individual Restorative Therapy: We offer compassionate support for anxiety, life changes, and healing from past emotional pain.
Modalities
Our Therapeutic ApproachInstead of relying on a one-size-fits-all model, we utilize an integrative, holistic framework tailored to your body and mind:* Humanistic and Person-Centered Care: This is the basis of our practice. We always offer clients respect, safety, and genuine empathy.
* Somatic and Nervous System Regulation: We use mind-body techniques to help you notice tension, let go of stress, and restore balance in your body.
* Tapping (EFT) Informed Interventions: We use gentle acupressure methods to help calm distress, reduce anxiety, and manage overwhelming emotions as they happen.
* Brainspotting-Informed Care: This approach uses specific eye positions to help you access, process, and release trauma or emotional distress held deep in the brain.
* Trauma-Informed CBT: We use structured and caring cognitive techniques to help you notice and change unhelpful thought patterns, always without judgment.
